Burnout is Real And It Got Me Too

I’ve been burnt out these last few weeks and I mean properly.

Low energy. Cloudy mind. No creativity. Just getting through the day.

And yeah, I know I talk a lot about work ethic. Showing up. Grinding. Staying relentless.

But here’s what I need you to hear: Rest is not a weakness. It’s a weapon.

You can’t lead when you’re running on fumes.
You can’t build properly when deep down you’re just trying to hold it together.

Burnout doesn’t always look like a breakdown. Sometimes it’s quiet.

It’s you waking up and feeling numb to what used to excite you.
It’s showing up for everyone, but mentally you’re not even in the room.
It’s doing everything you’re “supposed” to do, but none of it landing because your energy’s off.

You don’t fall apart all at once. It’s the slow leak that drains you before you even notice. And by the time you do it’s already costing you.

HERE’S WHAT I LEARNED:

1. Your rest is productive
Rest isn’t the opposite of work, it’s actually what fuels quality work.
When I finally stopped, I started getting clarity again. Ideas. Vision. Strategy.

2. You're no good to anyone at 50%
Your team needs you sharp.
Your goals need you energised.
Your purpose needs you whole.

3. Burning out doesn’t make you weak it makes you human
You can’t sustain greatness on fumes.
And no, pushing through isn’t always the answer. Sometimes stopping is.

Remember that if you don’t make time to rest, your body will do it for you on its terms

NON-NEGOTIABLE ACTION FOR THE WEEK:

Pick one thing this week that fills you back up.
Sleep. Space. Stillness.
You can’t afford to crash.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
"Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes… including you." Anne Lamott

We don’t celebrate burnout around here.

So rest. Then get back to building.

Stronger. Sharper. Clearer.
