Don’t Blame God for the Mess You Made

Hey,

This one’s not for the faint-hearted.

It’s for the person who’s been grinding, chasing, building but deep down knows they’ve been cutting corners, moving too fast, or ignoring the red flags.

I came across this verse from Proverbs this week, and it stopped me in my tracks:

Let that sink in.

How often do we move off impulse, not insight?
How often do we chase the next thing without understanding the cost?
How often do we rush decisions, ignore wisdom, then blame God when it falls apart?

We say, “God, why is this happening?”
But if we’re honest…
It wasn’t Him.
It was our own foolishness.
Our ego. Our haste. Our refusal to slow down and seek real knowledge.

Here’s what this verse reminded me of:

1. Integrity matters more than image

You can fool people but you can’t fool principles.
Doing things the right way might take longer, but what you build will last.
Quick wins built on dishonesty collapse under pressure.

2. Energy without wisdom is dangerous

Enthusiasm feels like progress, but without direction, it’s just noise.
Before you move, pause. Learn. Ask.
You can be hyped up and still heading the wrong way.

3. Stop blaming God for poor choices

God isn’t punishing you, sometimes you’re just reaping the fruit of impulsive decisions.
But the beauty of grace?
You can stop. Reflect. And reset.
You can choose wisdom over impulse, character over clout, and clarity over chaos.

Non-Negotiable Action for the Week
Take inventory: Where have you been moving in haste, cutting corners, or ignoring what you know isn’t wise? Pause this week. Don’t just do, discern. Make the next move from knowledge, not noise.

Quote of the Week
"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." – Proverbs 4:7

You can be called and still be careless.
You can be talented and still be reckless.
But if you want to build something that lasts you’ve got to build it on wisdom, not ego.

Stay bold. Stay relentless.
