Don't Let Q4 Spending Play You

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
"The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets."
— Proverbs 21:20
Let’s talk about it.
We’ve just started in Q4, that time when everything moves fast, emotions are high and your money seems to grow wings and fly out your account.
You’re probably already seeing it.
The sales. The ads. The pressure.
“Final offer.”
“Treat yourself.”
“Make it special for your loved ones.”
Before you know it, Q4 has you spending like you’re a millionaire…and January has you regretting it like you’re broke.
I’m not judging, I’ve done it.
You want to be generous.
You want to celebrate.
But if we’re being honest?
Most people don’t have a money problem. They have a discipline problem.
This is the season where a lot of people ruin their momentum.
They throw away 9 months of hard work and good decisions because they didn’t slow down and plan.
So let me say this clearly: Don’t let Q4 spending wreck your January.
Because right now is the perfect time to get your financial house in order.
While everyone else is focused on Black Friday, you should be focused on your future
What are you doing today that’s going to make your 2026 self thank you?
Here’s what I’m doing right now (and you should too):
Set a real budget.
Not vibes. Not “I’ll just watch my spending.”
A real number. For gifts. For life. For investing.
If it’s not in the plan, it doesn’t get bought.Audit where your money is leaking.
I looked through my last month of spending last week.
And bro… some of it was embarrassing.
We all have things draining us that we justify in the moment.
Track it. Clean it up.Get serious about investing.
If you’re not investing, inflation is eating your savings alive.
Start learning. Start small.
Stocks. ETFs. Businesses. Something.
But if you keep waiting for “the right time,”
you’re choosing to fall behind.
Let’s be honest…We always talk about opportunity cost in terms of time and energy. But what about money?
Every pound you waste is a pound that could’ve built your future.
NON-NEGOTIABLE ACTION THIS WEEK:
Look at your last 30 days of spending. Be brutally honest.
Then ask yourself:
What do I need to stop buying?
What do I need to start putting money into?
And what’s one small investment I can make this week in my future?
Could be a course.
Could be a stock.
Could be a debt you finally pay off.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK (AGAIN, BECAUSE IT’S STILL THE ONE):
"The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets."
Let this be the year you don’t get played by Q4.
Let this be the season you step up and take control of your finances.
Just clarity and commitment.
You’re too smart to go broke trying to impress people. And you’re too powerful to keep living like you don’t have options.
Start now. Your 2026 self will thank you.
Stay bold. Stay relentless.
