How being a sugar addict cost me £20k

Hey,
This one’s personal.
I used to be a sugar addict.
Not the occasional dessert - addicted.
Sweets late at night. I had to have something sweet after every meal.
And I used all the usual excuses:
“I work hard, I deserve a treat.”
“It’s not that deep, it’s just sugar.”
“I’ll cut back next week.”
But what I didn’t realise is that sugar wasn’t just messing with my body,
it was also slowing down my potential.
A few weeks ago, I did a 10-day juice cleanse. No sugar. Just raw fruits, veg, and discipline.
Let me tell you:
My energy levels skyrocketed
My focus became razor-sharp
My skin cleared up
The inflammation in my body disappeared
I didn’t even realise how foggy I had become until the fog lifted.
Then, I reintroduced sugar.
And the next morning, I felt like I’d been hit by a bus.
Bloated. Sluggish. Heavy. Unfocused.
That’s when it hit me: Sugar is much more damaging and dangerous than you think and it was LOSING ME MONEY!
One Clear Mindset Shift, One Big Win
During that cleanse, with my mind clearer than it had been in months, I was able to see something I’d missed for over 6 months!
One of our brands was leaking over £20,000 a year due to an overlooked process.
With a sharp mind and fresh energy, I spotted the issue, made a small adjustment and just like that, we cut it off our bottom line.
Clarity makes you money. Fog costs you.
Sugar might be the thing silently holding you back
Not because of how it looks on you,
But because of what it’s doing to you:
Kills focus – Sugar spikes your energy, then crashes your brain
Kills discipline – The more you consume, the more you crave
Kills momentum – Low energy leads to missed opportunities, skipped workouts, unproductive days
There’s even a study where they gave rats sugar and watched how it affected their brains.
The result? Worse than cocaine.

We’re out here trying to hit targets, lead people, build wealth
And sugar is silently robbing us of the mental edge we desperately need.
This isn’t just about health, but making you performance at your highest potential.
Non-Negotiable Action for the Week
Cut sugar for the next 7 days. Not forever. Just 7.
Track how you feel. Your energy. Your decisions. Your money.
You might discover a solution or a breakthrough that fog has been hiding.
Quote of the Week
"A clear mind builds what a cluttered one can’t even see." – David Olusegun
You were built for more than sugar highs and afternoon crashes.
If you want to win, protect your sharpness.
Your future demands focus.
And sugar? It’s the silent thief.
Stay bold. Stay relentless.
David
P.S. If you’re up for the 7-day no sugar challenge, reply and let me know. Let’s hold each other accountable. You have no idea what’s waiting on the other side of clarity.
