Signal vs Noise – The Habit That Will Change Your Life

This is going to be a short post but, a very important one to help you end 2025 great!

First thing I want you to do on Monday morning is this:

Draw two columns. One labelled ‘SIGNAL’, one labelled ‘NOISE’.

Write down everything on your to do list.

Then ask: Is this moving me closer to my goal or is it just keeping me busy?

Steve Jobs mastered the art of Signal vs Noise.

The most successful people in the world are not more talented, they’re just ruthless about ignoring the noise.

Think about your day today.

✅ That email you had to reply to was it signal or noise?
✅ That Zoom meeting signal or noise?
✅ Scrolling social media, definitely noise.
✅ That deep work you avoided, probably signal.

We’re living in a world where distraction is designed.

Notifications, group chats, content it’s all pulling you off course.

If you don’t take control of your focus, someone else will.

Here’s your challenge this week:

  1. Start every morning by writing down your Signal vs Noise List

  2. Delete / delegate everything in the noise category

  3. Focus all your energy on just 3–5 signal items per day

  4. Watch this 40-sec clip from Jony Ive (Former Chief Design Officer @ Apple) and let it hit you → The Power of Saying No

Repeat that for 30 days, and watch how much more you get done.

Quote of the Week

"Most people aren’t overworked, they’re just working on the wrong things."
– Steve Jobs (paraphrased)

Success loves clarity.

Cut the fluff. Cut the distractions. Cut the excuses.

Laser in on the signal.

Go dominate.
