The Rarest Asset in the Game

I met someone recently who’s bought over 150 companies in his lifetime.
Naturally, I asked him what separates people who win from those who don’t. Was it market timing? Access to capital? Picking the right industry?
He shook his head. Didn’t even blink.
“Information is a commodity. Motivation is scarcity.”
And the more I thought about it, the more it hit me how real that is.
Because we’ve reached a point where everyone knows something. You’ve got people sitting on hours of free podcasts, bookmarked business models, saved investment frameworks, AI tool lists, tutorials, swipe files, PDFs... you name it.
But still stuck.
So what’s the real bottleneck?
It’s not knowledge.
It’s drive. It’s motion. It’s the courage to start without knowing exactly where it’ll lead.
You’re not lazy. You’re not dumb. You’ve just been tricked into thinking knowing is the same thing as building. But they’re not even in the same universe.
If we’re honest, most people don’t need another book. They need to do what they already know.
You know what you should be doing. You just haven’t done it yet.
You know the business idea you keep delaying.
You know the habits that are costing you your health and time.
You know that conversation you need to have.
You know where your money’s leaking and how to fix it.
But you’re “waiting to be more ready.” Spoiler: You won’t be.
That “perfect moment” you keep telling yourself is coming? It’s not.
The rarest asset now? It’s a self-motivated human being who actually follows through.
I’m serious. That’s unicorn-level rare. Because information is cheap now. The internet made it so.
But energy? Conviction? The willingness to put yourself on the hook and ship something real?
That’s in short supply.
What most people don’t realise is this: Action creates answers.
The right idea usually shows up after you start.
The best connections are made while you’re in motion.
The deal, the investor, the insight? Found on mile 3, not mile 0.
This week, I want you to do one thing:
NON-NEGOTIABLE ACTION:
Write down ONE thing you’ve been avoiding starting. Not researching. Not thinking about. Starting.
Then go do something that moves it forward TODAY. Not next week. Not when you “feel ready.” NOW.
Even if it’s messy. Even if it’s small. Even if you’re unsure.
Especially if you’re unsure.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
"Information is a commodity. Motivation is scarcity."
This is your moment to separate yourself, by simply doing what most won’t:
Moving.
Let them play it safe while you build what they’ll wish they started.
Stay bold. Stay relentless.
